Our residents range from mid-70's to our famous Centennials! They enjoy mealtimes, sitting in a rocking chair in the sun outside in our large backyard, movie nights and family time!
Gardening activities, painting and creative outlets, afternoon socials and weekly scenic drives through the Hillsborough hills, across the Golden Gate Bridge or by Lake Merced
We are located directly across Mills Peninsula Hospital and down the street from Kaiser Hospital. We have strong relationships with all hospitals and Skilled Nursing Facilities in the area to ensure our residents are well-taken care of in the event a medical setting is required.
Our secure Memory Care neighborhoods ensure that our residents are safe in our community. All doors to stairwells and outside are key-code alarmed, and notifies our team when opened. Our Memory Care residents are escorted by a team member when enjoying the gardens and other parts of the community throughout the day.
Along with a wearable, gps-enabled emergency call pendant, our Suites are equipped with 2-4 emergency call response systems throughout the unit.
We are pet-friendly! We have a large, enclosed, grassy backyard for your furry friend to run around and play catch! You will also see them throughout the community and enjoying the company of the resident neighbors. Don't have a pet? Come up to our Memory Care neighborhood and say hi to our House Cat, Bella, but give yourself plenty of time for all of the head scratching and kisses you'll want to give her!
Sunrise can cater many different diets and lifestyles. There are several different options for each course and meal - soup or salad? Salmon and risotto? Burger and chips? You choose! Our Culinary team cooks with no added salt - perfect for a healthy senior nutritional meal!
Communication is key! We want our families to be as involved as possible as we navigate the day-to-day of our residents' lives. Call the Community any time to speak to one of our Nurses, Care Managers or Care Coordinators if you need anything. However, our consistent communication will keep you up to date with every aspect of your loved ones' days.
Oakmont of Burlingame has Care Managers, Nurses, Med Techs and Care Coordinators on staff throughout the day and night. We staff based on the current care needs of the residents to ensure each resident receives the highest level of care and attention for a happy and healthy life.
