Located less than 10 miles north of Tarzana, Pacifica Senior Living Northridge offers assisted living and memory care for seniors aged 60 and older. The community is situated in a residential area, but is conveniently located close to highways, shopping, dining, and health care facilities, including Northridge Hospital, which is just minutes away. On-site, an activity center, library, community garden and covered patio encourage residents to socialize. Chef-prepared meals and snacks are provided, in addition to housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and scheduled transportation services. Residents also have access to daily social activities and programs. Trained staff is available 24/7 to provide care and assistance, including with the activities of daily living and medication management, and residents all receive individualized service plans and regular health assessments.

Our memory care staff receives training in First Aid & CPR, and additional memory care training that goes above and beyond the minimum requirement as well as the training that the staff in assisted living receive.
Our residents are from their late 50's to more than 100! We care for a wide range of care levels, but are best known in the San Fernando Valley for outstanding Transitions care! We are fluid with our dementia care!

Our community is extremely secure. We have security cameras outside and inside in common areas. Locked egress doors and Wanderguard technology. We also have trespassing notifications and a secured parking garage.
We have the emails and telephone numbers of our residents' families so that we can keep them updated and informed.
Our ratio is in accordance with Title 22. Staffing is always high priority and fluctuates depending on the care needs of the general population of the residents at any given time.. Wellness teams may have more caregivers when the population requires high care while at the same time, they may require fewer caregivers as the population may be more independent requiring less care. Ratios are always within recommended guidelines established by the State so as to meet or exceed the current care needs of the census at the time.
We have several outdoor patios areas. Resident must be able to care for their own pets. Specific pets allowed.
Staff receives California Direct Care training, Dementia Training, First Aid & CPR, and Sexual Harassment training mandated by the state of California. As a mandatory requirement, each employee undergoes a thorough back ground, character, and criminal check, along with a current drug screening. Initial training is provided and ongoing monthly mandatory training is required as part of the employment agreement. All staff are CPR and First Aid certified. Mandatory in-services are schedule monthly to provide a high level of customer service and care that our residents deserve. Health care topics and demonstration of technique from professional health care providers insure our staff is fully trained to help our seniors as they age gracefully in place.

We use Wanderguard technology that signals the staff that there is a potential attempt to exit the building.
Some examples include, an extensive music therapy program, arts & crafts, ALZ Memory in the Making Program, pet therapy, and more. (See our monthly calendar for details).
Our Executive Director and our Resident Care Director complete assessments of our residents. Residents are reassessed generally every 6 months or if there is a change in condition.
Residents who require hands-on assistance during mealtime receive caregiver assistance. Caregivers are required to help residents who cannot feed themselves. Those who are able to feed themselves still have caregivers with them to oversee meals. We do offer mechanical soft, diced, and puréed food for residents if needed.
