Emily Green Shores

Emily Green Shores is a faith-centered, waterfront retirement community offering picturesque views of passing boats on the Elizabeth River in Portsmouth, VA. This nonprofit community provides ambulatory seniors with a safe, family-oriented living environment in which trained staff is on hand to assist with everyday tasks and dispense medications, including insulin shots. Incontinence management services are also available. All meals are cooked in-house and often feature seasonal produce. A registered dietitian ensures menu options provide each resident with the opportunity to maintain a well-balanced, nutritious diet. Monthly recreational activity programs in this community are tailored to the abilities and interests of each resident to encourage participation and promote social interactions. In addition, an experienced hairstylist visits twice a week to offer convenient on-site appointments for a range of salon services, including hair cuts, perms and color treatments.
